Formation of prudent and devout apostles for the Church

Join the Educational Mission at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate

Introduction

Established in Thu Duc in 1989, Saint Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate (SJJS) is dedicated to the fundamental education in philosophy and theology for religious, seminarians, and laypeople.

With the official endorsement of the Discastery of Culture and Education in January 2023, SJJS has attained recognition as an Ecclesiastical Institution of Higher Education. SJJS is affiliated with the Loyola School of Theology (LST) in the Philippines. This affiliation enables LST to grant the ecclesiastical degree of Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (STB) to SJJS students who successfully complete their theological program.

Currently, SJJS has approximately 70 Jesuit students, in addition to about 90 students from diverse religious orders and entities, including both religious and lay individuals.

JJS offers foundational programs in theology and philosophy, aimed at equipping priests and lay collaborators with the skills to serve effectively in the local and global mission of the Church.
